Automated Resource Management in Dynamic Software Designed Media Facilities
As media facilities shift from fixed hardware to software-defined, cloud-native architectures, statically provisioning for peak capacity becomes economically untenable. This paper presents a case study in automated resource management where transport and transcoding workloads run as containerized services orchestrated by Kubernetes. A key principle is the decoupling of service configuration from underlying compute resources, eliminating repeated setup and enabling a true deploy-on-demand operational model.
